Description: This bright white and flaky meat is very well flavored and highly regarded. It is softer than a red snapper, but more firm than a tai snapper.

Fun Facts: One population of Mangrove snappers in the Bahamas is know to congregate below a large colony of bats waiting for young bats to fall into the water. Bats make up a significant part of the diet for this population.
